David S. Tung is an Emmy award-winning documentary editor based in Queens, New York, who is known for bringing his unique style, perspective and intuition to storytelling. 

His recent editing credits include: the Netflix Original Series Race: Bubba Wallace, winner of the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Documentary Series (Serialized) in 2023; New York Times Presents: The Legacy of J-Dilla for FX/HULU, nominated for the Outstanding Arts and Culture Documentary and Outstanding Sound Emmy in 2024; Apple Original Series The Dynasty: New England Patriots with Imagine Films; and the Amazon Original Series, Glitter And Greed: The Lisa Frank Story with Maxine Productions.

David has over 25 years of television and documentary experience which includes The Circus with Showtime; Ride with Norman Reedus with AMC, nominated for Critic’s Choice Award for Best Unstructured Reality in 2018; Rise and Fall: The World Trade Center with History Channel; and Dionysian’s A League of Ordinary Gentlemen, winner of SXSW Documentary Feature Audience Award 2004.  David has also worked extensively in documentary, non-fiction, docu-soap, reality and competition programming with PARAMOUNT, BRAVO, VICE, MTV, VH1, DISCOVERY, HGTV, SPIKE, CW NETWORK, AL JAZEERA AMERICA AND USA NETWORK.

In David’s spare time he enjoys skateboarding architecture, ingesting food and knowledge, soaking up nature with his beloved American Dingo, Balto.
